Thomas T. Pignetti, DPM, FACFAS
Dr. Pignetti was born and raised on Long Island, NY. After completing his undergraduate studies at Adelphi University, he earned his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed his surgical residency at Catholic Medical Centers of Brooklyn and Queens prior to moving to The Woodlands, TX in 1993.
He is board certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Pignetti is an active member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Texas Podiatric Medical Association. He has participated in research, co-authored published articles and trained hundreds of surgeons on endoscopic surgical treatments for heel pain and neuromas.
Dr. Pignetti has been practicing in The Woodlands for over 20 years where he has provided advanced, gentle and effective techniques for the relief of foot and ankle problems. He particularly enjoys treating pediatric patients from young children through teens.
He is a 1997 graduate of Leadership Montgomery County and is an active member of The Woodlands’ community. As member of The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Pignetti has served on the Board of directors as Vice President of Business Opportunities as well as Programs Team Leader, Annual Banquet Team Leader and Proshow/Business Expo Team Leader in addition to having served on various committees. He has been a supporter of Education for Tomorrow Alliance and has given presentations to local high school students, stressing the importance of self discipline and continuing their education in order to have more opportunities for success in life. Dr. Pignetti has also been an advocate and supporter for the Pregnancy Assistance Center North, a local non-profit pregnancy medical clinic that offers confidential services for women and men but does not perform or refer clients for abortion services.
Dr. Pignetti lives in The Woodlands with his wife and their two children. They are active members of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church where Dr. Pignetti has been active in Life Teen (high school youth ministry program) since 1997. He enjoys playing keyboard and singing at the Sunday evening Life Teen mass.
Fernando Fernandez, DPM
Dr. Fernando Fernandez is a specialist in the medical and surgical treatment of the foot and ankle. He has extensive training in diabetic foot related complications, including treatment of diabetic foot wounds. He is a member of the Texas Podiatric Medical Association as well as the American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Fernandez is also certified in ACLS.
Dr. Fernandez is a native Texan and was born and raised in El Paso. He received his undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at El Paso in 1998, majoring in Biology and minoring in Chemistry. Shortly after graduation, he accepted a position with a startup software company from Oakland, CA, and did software consulting for the next three years. Dr. Fernandez returned to the medical field and completed his medical education at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 2006. He went on to completed a three-year surgical residency at Mary Immaculate Hospital, St. Johns Queens Hospital, and Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in New York in 2009, serving as chief resident during his final year of training.
Dr. Fernandez enjoys spending time with his family. He has been married for 9 years and together he and his wife have 2 young children. He is an avid sports fan, cheering on all of his favorite Texas teams. Dr. Fernandez is fluent in both English and Spanish.
